China faces risk of global backlash amid corona crisis
An internal Chinese report warns that China could face risk of global backlash in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak that could take political and economic relations with the United States to the worst, leading to open confrontation between the two leading powers of the globe.
The report was drawn up by the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), a think tank affiliated with the Ministry of State Security, China's top intelligence body.
The report, presented early last month by the Ministry of State Security to top Beijing leaders including President Xi Jinping, concluded that global anti-China sentiment is at its highest since the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown.
[In spring June 1989, students and workers occupied Beijing's Tiananmen Square in a massive pro-democracy protest. Armed troops and tanks made their way to the square on the night of June 3 and into the morning hours of June 4. Thousand of Chinese troops entered Beijing’s Tiananmen Square and opened fire on unarmed protesters. Many were killed in a brutal clampdown by the communist authorities. The violent retaking of the square on June 4, 1989, was so brutal that it has since become known as the Tiananmen Square massacre.]
As a result, Beijing faces a wave of anti-China sentiment led by the United States in the aftermath of the pandemic and needs to be prepared in a worst-case scenario for armed confrontation between the two global powers.
China has hit back at countries blaming for global COVID 19 outbreak. As per China’s Ministry of foreign affairs, China has taken unprecedented, comprehensive thorough and strict measures to control the spread of coronavirus.
The Chinese intel warns of Anti sentiment and highlights of
➡️ Hostility over virus on par with Tiananmen crackdown.
➡️ Could lead to armed confrontation between America and China.
➡️ USA likely to fan anti-China sentiments.
In a recent White House briefing, the American President, Mr. Donald Trump said that the virus could have been contained and stopped in China itself but it wasn’t. Mr Trump questioned Beijing by asking was it (coronavirus outbreak) a mistake which went out of control or was it done deliberately. In a small briefing, he held China “knowingly responsible” for this global pandemic.
The Trump administration is likely to fan this anti China sentiments. But Trump’s not the only one blaming China. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has called for an independent investigation into China’s role. Even normally cautious European allies have called for “ more transparency “.
Also, joining the list is German tabloid Bild , that has come up with itemised invoice article stating the damages incurred by the coronavirus pandemic and it’s impact on Germany’s economy. In response to this, the Chinese Embassy has strongly reacted to the article by the tabloid and called it xenophobic.
This global wind of anti sentiment might prove to be the real test for China.
Can China overcome the suspicion of its motives and regain trust on the global scale.
The COVID-19 pandemic can be blamed in many ways on China who
“might” have mishandled the virus from the beginning by silencing the dissenters doctors and not disclosing the key information to international partners.

China needs to be isolated on economic and global front.
ReplyDeleteThe American administration is trying for this headed by Mr. Trump.
DeleteAnd also on political front
ReplyDeleteTrying to appease WHO is not working properly.
ReplyDeleteWHO seems to be supporting Chinese government..and appears biased.
DeleteChina and USA, both can't be trusted on their steps as they are hypocrites.
ReplyDeleteMight be true...based on past discourse.
DeleteChina may be wrong in its doings may it be expansionary policy or subduing other Countries (Taiwan,Tibet) or loading them on debt
ReplyDeleteBut America is no saint either
Although possibility of arms between two coubtries is less
Coz it may engage North Korea in war
Also Russia be quiet
I think this will start world war
Chances of a direct war...world war..seems bleak...but a cold war has already started against China...with America leading from the front.
DeleteThere is no amount of doubt regarding the over ambitious nature of China...and their expansion policy...This tendency is already creating a rift with the neighbouring countries..
